Two hole in ones this week. 

Two members in the last week have had Hole in One's. Congratulations go to Wayne Cook who holed his tee shot at the 12th on Saturday using his 7 iron. 

Wayne told me it was his first hole in one.

Well played Wayne. 

Also congratulations to John Bowles who also aced the 12th hole this week also using his 7 iron. 

Well done to you both. 

Hole in One fund and Two's Competition. 

With the hole in one activity this week I thought it a good time to explain how the Hole in One Fund and Two's competition works. 

Alongside any Medal, Stableford whether it be midweek or weekend we run a Two's Sweep. To participate you must enter the competition of the day and pay a £2 entry to the Two's Club pot. On doing so if you then go onto make a two at any stage in your round you will get a share of all monies in the pot. If no Two's are recorded then all monies will roll into the Hole in One Fund which is currently standing at just over £400. The Hole in One fund is waiting to be won by the next person to have an ace during a competitive round.

Course Walk 

It was good this Wednesday to be out on the course with Sarah Greenall our Greens Chairman, the Head Greenkeeper Rob and the Greens committee. We were looking at the various projects that are planned for the course over this Autumn /Winter period. It is good to see how seriously the committee take their responsibility on the care and attention they have for looking after our course.

Thursday Ladies 

It is now 7 years this month that Jane Blake along with Maureen Howes started the Thursday morning ladies group. At the time the aim of these mornings was to help new members get to know other members and become integrated within the ladies section. Over the years this has helped many new members get the most from their membership and fully enjoy all that the club has to offer. If you are looking for a game or to meet up with some new playing partners then just turn up on Thursday mornings to tee off at 9.30am outside the Pro Shop. You will be most welcome to join in.
