Junior Charity Day 

As always a great day was had by all in Wednesday's Junior Charity Day supported by 54 players from all categories of the membership. The Junior Vice Captain, 13 year old Max Weaver had the responsibility of organising the day ably supported by Mum and Grandma. Max chose the "Niamh Henry Wish Fund" as his charity which was in memory of Niamh Henry, a local girl who tragically lost her battle with cancer and died just before her 4th birthday. The aim of the fund is to provide funds/items for the children's cancer unit at Addenbrookes and provide counselling for bereaved families. 

One of the best stories of the day was when new member Freddie Daly beat the Pro, Jonny, when he hit his 3 wood to 2 feet at the ninth and holed out for a birdie two, well done Freddie. Freddie who is just 9 years of age has been having lessons with Jonny since he was 5 and now plays off a handicap of 34, well done Freddie keep it up.

Once again the atmosphere both on and off the course was fantastic and some valuable funds were raised for a very deserving cause.

   

   

   

The Links GC new website

Hopefully by now you will have visited the new Links GC website - www.linksgolfclub.co.uk. It has been updated and is much easier to navigate around and is full of useful information. 

The lay out and images are quite stunning largely due to the wonderful pictures of our course taken by James Greenall. The Pro Shop area on the site is also much improved and from it you are able to navigate to my own website www.john-sharkey.co.uk and from there to the Foremost Click and Collect online sales.
