This week John is busy back at work at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. He has been viewing all the latest equipment and coaching aids for the upcoming year. One club which took his eye was Cobra's one length iron. This iron set is used by PGA Tour player Bryson DeChambeau. Please click here to see John giving this club a test run. .

He also sent through a video of Kevin Diss, from the Gog Magog golf club, trying out a new coaching aid for chipping. 

It is called the Orange Whip Wedge and its purpose is to help your tempo.

John even got some tips from Masters winner and current USA Ryder Cup vice-Captain Bubba Watson. You may see John sporting the pink driver this year. 

He still found time to get a round in this week though playing one of the most famous courses in the world, The TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. The question we all cannot wait to ask him is did he hit the green on the 17th.

John also took a visit to the PGA Hall Of Fame to see some big hitters from the past.

How well do you know your game? 

Only thought of booking a lesson when you're struggling? It is just as important to book in for a 'bench marking' appointment as it is when you're having a purple patch. Get on the GC2 and find out your figures to see what works for you. You can check the following: angle of attack, swing path, club face angle and your centeredness of strike. This information will be stored so if you start to see slumps in your performances then re-book in and we can compare your figures to find out what we need to work towards to get you back to your full potential.

Whose Team are you joining, Team Childerley or Team Sharkey? 

If you read last week's newsletter Jonny and Rich had a meeting with our golf travel rep to arrange some trips for the upcoming year. We are finalising prices and venues for two trips to Portugal. One will be to watch the Portuguese Masters and play the courses on the Vila Sol resort in September. The second one will be a Ryder Cup format competition which will become an annual trip with two teams captained by Rich and Jonny. We are finalising the venue for this event but it will be in the Algarve during the first week of November. If you would be interested in joining us in the Algarve this year, give us a call or pop into the shop to secure your place.
