Ladies Social
This week 42 ladies took part in our Valentine's 10-hole February social. The scores were amazing bearing in mind that only 3 clubs and a putter were allowed in the bag. Who needs 14 clubs anyway?! Jackie Ewing who plays off a handicap of 3 came in with an amazing 20 points and confessed to only using 2 clubs and a putter as she didn't go in any bunkers and didn't use her SW.
Lots of ladies entered into the spirit of the day and were adorned in red to celebrate Valentine's.

Paul Hurrion - Putting Guru to the stars!
I had a very enjoyable day on Thursday this week when I paid a visit to the headquarters of Paul Hurrion, putting coach to the stars. I had a 4-hour lesson (yes 4 hours), where my putting action was analysed and with the information gathered giving me a very clear understanding of some of my faults in the past. From this I was able to build a real plan going forwards.
Dr Paul Hurrion has a very impressive clients list including Rory Mcilroy, Henryk Stenson, Pardraig Harrington and Danny Willett to name just a few. He brings his knowledge of biomechanics to the putting action and when combined with the use of high speed cameras and the Quintec analysis software he is able to help golfers achieve more consistency and improvement in their game.
We have arranged for a Quintec disciple James Jankowski to come to the Links on the Tuesday, 28 February and we still have a few places available to book. If you want to make real progress in this area of your game I can fully recommend this specialised service.
