Teddy Hall

Special mention this week goes to Teddy Hall who continued his progress this year. Teddy, who is just 13 years of age, has just got his handicap down to 6. Well done mate. He might be still growing but as you can see from the picture below he uses every ounce of his body weight to propel the ball impressive distances. Teddy has been working on correctly clearing his body through impact recently.

As you can see his hips and shoulders are open (facing target) and clearing at impact which allows for a very controlled and orthodox hand and arm plane and stable contact at impact. Keep up the good work Teddy.

Karen clears up!

Karen Cook rounded off her year in style this week winning the final of the Links Challenge Cup, winning 3&2 playing against Alison Bass from Bury St Edmunds. Giving away 7 shots, it was a closely thought match before Karen eventually closed out the game on the 16th green. A big thank you to Jane Blake who caddied and supported Karen throughout the final and even supplying carrot cake during the round, which was obviously the secret weapon. Karen agrees carrot cake is the way forwards.

Are you up for the challenge?

The Autumn Series of Captain Pro Challenge matches have just started again this week. They are always fun, as you can see from the picture below, however at the same time they are also very competitive. Thank you to Peter Beckley and Jack Alletson for their challenge on Tuesday. If you would like to play last minute we still have a spot available for next Tuesday 24th October. If you would like to play we are looking to tee off at 12pm.
