Jonny visits Rory’s and Henrik’s putting coach

Jonny continued his education in the dark art of putting this week when he paid a visit to Dr Paul Hurrion and David Ames at the home of Qunitic.

Dr Hurrion invented the Quintec Putting System and has taught many of the World’s leading players.

The Quintic System is used by Rory McIlroy a four time major champion, Henrik Stenson Open champion in 2016 and three time major champion, Padraig Harrington to name just a few.

For these players, making or missing a putt can be the difference between winning and losing hundreds of thousands of pounds in prize money.

The Quintec System is a launch monitor for the putter and measures all the parameters of ball and clubhead movement during the putting stroke. The software allows golf instructors to accurately coach and fit to improve your putting action and fit for that perfect putter.

We are now able to suggest styles of putters to specifically suit an individuals putting action.

 

Aim Point comes to The Links

PGA Professional Jamie Donaldson, Europe’s leading Aim Point Putting Coach will be running an event at The Links on Tuesday 21st November. AimPoint golf is a simple and effective way for you to read greens. The system was developed by software developer, Mark Sweeney and has been adopted by professionals and amateurs alike.

Golfers of all ages and all abilities are benefiting from the AimPoint green reading system. A player that is currently having success with the method is Justin Rose who is in a very rich vein of form having just won his last two tournaments.

Portugual Trip - who came out on top?

Richard and Jonny have just returned this week from the second Pro Shop golf trip of the year.

Twenty members played in the Pro Shop Matchplay Trophy at Amendoeira Resort in Portugal with Team Childerley winning this inaugural event beating Team Sharkey by 14.5-9.5. It was a great week both on and off the course with many already booking their place for next year’s trip.

Judging by all the happy faces arriving back at the club on Monday afternoon everyone has had great time.

After an alternative?

Power and gadgets or fuss-free fun?
