Important news

Our new era has begun

Last week you received an email from us asking for your help. It wasn’t anything too onerous or time-consuming; simply sparing 20 seconds of your time to complete your golfing profile.

The reason we’re asking you to do this is so that we can start sending you personalised content that is more relevant to your golfing needs. For example, if you’re a lady golfer with a handicap of 28 then the weekly emails you receive will include ladies product that will be suited to your playing ability. Likewise, if you’re a gentleman off 12, we will begin sending you content that will help you to get your handicap down to the holy grail of single-figure digits.

Thank you to everyone who has already completed their profile and for those of you who haven’t been able to as of yet, please try and do so in the near future.

Studio news

The Grand Opening exceeded our expectations

We were blown away by the response to the opening days at the new Links Golf Lab with every session booked in advance and the team working late into the night.

The support from members was uplifting and has made the hard work building the new facility feel well worthwhile.

The Lab was opened by Hamish Fleming the Men’s Captain who cut the ribbon and hit the first shots on the simulator. The champagne corks popped, courtesy of Doug Misson, and this set the tone for a great weekend.

A big thank you to everyone for all the gifts, cards and best wishes for the launch.

The team have really enjoyed the interaction with the members over the weekend with everyone having a lot of fun learning about what is available at ‘The Golf Lab’.

We are all very much looking forward to helping you improve your golf and enjoy your time even more at the club.

20% discount offer period extended

Due to the demand we experienced over the opening weekend, we were unable to accommodate all enquiries so we are extending our offer period to give everyone a chance to see the facilities and book coaching for the new season at reduced rates.

The discounted rates will now be available for a further 7 days ending at close of business on 18th March.

Nearest the pin challenge

Over the launch weekend, we ran a nearest the pin prize and the winner was Paul Brown. Paul wins a lesson of his choice in the Lab. We had a couple of near misses for the hole in one prize when two members hit the pin from 98 yards.

Well done Paul.

Lab feedback winner

Everyone who attended the launch was asked to enter a FREE draw and visit our dedicated ‘Golf Lab’ website www.linksgolflab.com and give feed back on their experience.

Spring/Summer Stock

The new Spring /Summer stock is starting to arrive in The Pro Shop with all the new season fashions, shoes and clubs all now available. This season we are stocking Callaway, Mizuno, PING, Under Armour, Daily Sport, Skechers to name just a few.

With Easter just around the corner the new season will soon be on us, so it’s time to dust off the clubs and get playing!

Past it? Don’t think so…

A lot has been made of the exciting crop of young golfers at the top of the world rankings right now – and rightly so – but it’s been the old guard who has been grabbing all the headlines in recent weeks.

Following up Mickelson’s triumph at the WGC a couple of weeks ago was England’s Paul Casey, who secured a one-shot victory at last week’s Valspar Championship from none other than a certain Tiger Woods. Just seeing Tiger back in the hunt come the back nine on a Sunday made for fascinating viewing in itself, but it was great to see Casey return to the winner’s circle after his extended hiatus.

With Mickelson, Casey and Tiger all the other side of 40 it certainly shows that there is still a bit of life left in the old dogs yet. With the Masters just three weeks away, is your money on youth or experience?

Leather or synthetic?
