Callaway ERC Soft Triple Track

If you struggle with your alignment you may like to try the new ball from Callaway the ERC Soft Triple Track. Each ball comes with three stripes (Triple track) printed on them aiding alignment for both long and short shots. It’s a very simple idea and I’m surprised one that it hasn’t been marketed before now. In particular these stripes are a great aid for putting aiding your ability to start putts on the right line so important for consistent putting.

You may have already seen Phil Mickleson benefiting from using these on TV recently.

Jonny Pro Am and Links Team off to Paris for Pro Am

Jonny along with Links members Steve Struthers, Guy Westcott and Bourn member Ian Clark are playing in a Pro Am in France at last year’s Ryder Cup venue The Paris National course.

Have a great trip and enjoy what looks to be a fantastic venue and competition.

Buggy problems hopefully now resolved…

You will probably be aware of the buggy problems we have experienced this past week and the unwelcome interest from some joy riders.

Hopefully the problems are now resolved and the culprits have been caught. I would like to thank the members who either phoned the shop or sent pictures in of the buggies being driven around town. The information that we received was a great help in getting a speedy resolution to the matter - Thank you.

Junior news

Junior Section Social Event - Afternoon Tea and Fun

The idea behind the day is twofold. Firstly, a thank you from the juniors to their extended families for the support they receive to allow them to play the sport they love. Secondly, it will be a platform to launch an exciting ‘The Future is Female’ day in September to attract more girls into the club.

The juniors hope to see as many of you as possible on 29th June. Please feel free to share this with family and friends and if you know of juniors who perhaps don’t currently play golf but would like to come along and try it out in a fun and informal setting then please bring them along.

Time for a little reflection

Who doesn’t love the month of June? Long evenings, blistering sunshine (might be a little optimistic here) and plenty of opportunities to hit the course. With much of the season left to go and more competitions on the horizon, it’s time to take note of how you’ve been playing so far this year.

Scenario 1

Hopefully, you've been playing regularly to your handicap or, better still, shooting under it. If that’s the case then happy days, keep up the good work!

But we all know there’s room for improvement.
