Stay Safe Dear members and friends On Monday this week, the Government took the necessary decision to close golf clubs across the country for the next three weeks or the next Government update. It is a terrible situation for all of us, but the health and wellbeing of members and visitors should be our main consideration at this difficult time. Everyone at the club has done their best over the last few weeks to keep the facilities open. On a personal note, I am very proud of my team in the Pro Shop and the service they offer the membership. These remarkable and difficult times have already had a big impact on the shop and coaching for all of us. I can assure you that I am working hard and looking into ways to ensure the team and I can survive these difficult times and come out the other side. As mentioned last week, we appeal to you for your continued and loyal support to help us get up and running again when this is all over. As always, we will continue to provide our high level of service, coaching expertise and fitting/putting knowledge to you. On a lighter note, whilst in this enforced self-isolation, I am sure many of us will use the time to finally get to do those jobs we’ve been putting off. Tricia started my first week of confinement to home with pruning the trees. I think she is taking this 2m distancing too far though!!! I await next week with trepidation. The word ‘decorating’ keeps being mentioned! If you have any golf or even non-golf related self isolation photos you would like to share with everyone I can put it in next week’s mail. Please email them over to me. Now more than ever I appreciate the importance of needing and supporting each other. We need to stay connected and help each other in times of need and hopefully we can come out stronger when times improve. Thinking of you and your families and I hope you keep safe and healthy. John
