The January Sale
This weekend we see the start of our January Sale. As always this is a genuine seasonal sale on stock that is current and which has been on sale in the Pro Shop this season. We have good discounts on our Under Armour gents clothing, and final discounts on the ladies Daily sport fashions. I would like to draw your attention especially to two sets of PING G30 irons, one set of Adams Idea irons and one set of gents Lynx hybrid/iron combination set. All sets are at cost price and can be customised to suit you at no extra cost, but, once their gone their gone. The Adams Idea irons are designed to help get good trajectory from any lie condition and in my opinion make the most of modern club design. They are the most forgiving set of clubs made. Please come in and discuss further or book a fitting at your earliest convenience.
Shoe Sale
We have a good range of sizes and colours in our shoe sale in both ladies and gents styles. The highlights are probably the ladies FootJoy boots now only £55 and for the men FootJoy's biggest selling shoe the Contour Series are marked down to £69 from £110.
Stewart 3 wheel Trolleys
A big reduction in the luxury brand Stewart golf cart. This extremely well designed trolley is in our sale at £125 down from £199. The price includes Umbrella holder, scorecard holder and drinks grip.
Up the U's
I have been very fortunate to have got hold of some of the hottest tickets in town. For those of you who haven't heard Cambridge United have been drawn in the FA Cup this Friday against the mighty Man Utd, a tie that has locally really caught the imagination and match that they could have sold 3 or 4 times the tickets available. As a supporter of both teams I'm a little torn but the perfect outcome for me would be a draw and then a replay back at Old Trafford with a win then for Man Utd. This would give a financial windfall to Cambridge and progress for Manchester into the next round.
Links ladies Wade Through to Victory at Haverhill
Our Links ladies got their 2015 competitive campaign underway last Sunday when they played in the 1st round of the Mail on Sunday team event away at Haverhill. Our girls managed a very impressive clean sweep of 5-0. The Haverhill course was far from perfect being waterlogged and extremely muddy but this didn't deter our ladies as they managed to win all their matches, even though in two of the games they were giving away 14 shots.
The team consisted of Marcella Tuttle (Captain), Lynn Lambert, Sarah Reardon, Jane Monk and Sarah Greenall. Many thanks also must go to the brave caddies and supporters who endured the cold and wet conditions having to carry bags and pull trolleys through the mud to help the team to victory. Well played girls!
